Faith Advocates for Montana’s Environmental (FAME)
Estimated Weekly Hours: 5-8; Pay Rate: $22/ Hour negotiable

Location: Primarily remote with periodic meetings held in hybrid style (in-person [Missoula MT] & on Zoom [2nd and 4th Monday of the month 6:30-8 PM])
About the Organization: Faith Advocates for Montana’s Environment (FAME) is a recently established and growing state-wide faith community of any denomination or spiritual practice, who are united by a shared commitment to environmental stewardship and civic engagement. By developing critical mass across congregations and communities, we seek to elevate environmental concerns, strengthen public awareness, and bring a values-based voice to the legislative process. Key focus areas include non-polluting energy sources/energy conservation, protection of water resources, and preservation of public lands.
Job Description: Role will include but not be limited to the following:
Assist FAME in growing the state-wide network via social media posts, targeted emails, and phone calls.
Prepare membership rosters for legislative standing committees and joint sub committees identifying house and senate district locations and associated zip codes.
Assist FAME in selecting legislative bills to track utilizing existing systems hosted by other non-profit agencies (MEIC, 350.org, Wild Montana, Families for a Livable Climate, etc..), along with the MT state legislative tracking tool.
Prepare and distribute timely update emails to FAME members.
Assist FAME to distribute messaging to members and others regarding recommended calls to action. In some cases, this will be targeted to members who are constituents to particular legislative committee members. Periodically assist in hosting Zoom meetings.
Attributes/Skills Required: The ideal candidate will be:
Excited to work in an environmental advocacy role.
Comfortable working with individuals of various faith backgrounds.
Comfortable working with individuals of varying technical skills.
Adept with technical skills themself, and a quick learner of web based platforms.
A proficient communicator.
Available on Monday evenings.
