Meet with a Career Peer

Career Peers are UM students—just like you—trained to help with the nuts and bolts of career prep. They know what it’s like to balance classes, jobs, and figuring out your next steps. Career Peers can:

  • Review your resume and cover letter and help you polish them up.
  • Share tips and tools they’ve used themselves to navigate career decisions.
  • Connect you with other resources at ELCS and beyond, if you’re looking for more support.

Career Peer Appointments

Career Peer appointments occur on the 2nd floor of Aber Hall. If you have any materials you want feedback on, or specific job postings you’re applying to, bring them with you. If you’re looking for general guidance and tips, just bring yourself!*

Career Peer Drop-In Hours

Join us on alternate Tuesdays from 11am – 1pm across from Heart and Soul Connections (2nd Floor of Eck Hall) – no appointment needed.*

*If you’re ready for more in-depth conversations on topics like career exploration, CV’s or federal resumes, internships, grad school planning, and big-picture strategies, it’s best to meet with a Career Coach.

Meet Maddie!

Hey, I’m Maddie! I am a senior in Sustainability Science & Practice, and this year’s Career Peer. I’ve been trained to help students by reviewing their resumes and cover letters, or answering general questions about careers in or after college in a friendly, peer-to-peer setting. I am excited to offer services that reach beyond the groups I am already a part of, as I lead the Climate Response Club and serve on the board for MontPIRG. Looking forward to helping you on your journey!
