Student Organizations: Hospitality, Tourism & Rec

Joining a student organization related to your career interests connects you with peers and professionals in the field, offering valuable networking opportunities, exposure to career paths, and hands-on experience to build relevant skills. It’s a powerful way to explore your interests and learn from like-minded peers while strengthening your résumé.

Connect with and explore a multitude of student clubs such as:

  • Student Recreation Association: A student-led group organizing intramural sports and fitness events to promote health, wellness, and community engagement.
  • Campus Recreation Outdoor Program: Offers guided outdoor trips, gear rentals, and leadership opportunities for students interested in adventure and recreation.
  • International Students Association:  The ISS coordinates activities and events to connect and support international and domestic students and scholars.
  • Rock Climbing Club: Events that take place at the UM climbing wall in the rec center.
  • Student Life:  UM’s Student life is the umbrella organization of a number of student planned and focused activities and events including the Campus Activities Board, the Fraternity and Sorority Involvement, Gaming Den, and UC gallery.
  • Student Events: A culmination of all campus student events.
