Work Location: Butte, MT
Pay range: $20.00 – $21.00/hour (first year interns $20.00/hour, returning interns $21.00/hour)
Employment Status: Temporary (May-August 40 Hours Per Week)
(September – December part-time, 20 hours per week)

About this position:
The Generator Interconnection Intern will participate with all facets of NorthWestern Energy’s Net Metering and Generator Interconnection processes, while getting the opportunity to participate in implementation process of new software.

- Participate in organization work meetings
- Process net metering applications with our generator interconnection team
- Participate in implementation process of a new interconnection software
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline interconnection workflow and improve efficiency
- Support and assist with moving project files to the records system in compliance with records retention policies
- Assist with Transmission Service contract management
- Perform other Generator Interconnection and Transmission Services tasks as needed

- Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft office excel, word, and access data base
- Must be able to work closely with other individuals and cooperate with other departments
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business or other relevant degree paths
- Student must have completed Freshman level or higher by stated date
- Must be in good academic standing
- Must Provide GPA in Resume upon application
- Get Into Energy – Energy Industry Fundamental 2.0 certification is a plus (click here to certify at no cost)
